- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username, password (stored securely using hashing), and optional profile details such as nickname, bio, gender, birthday, and location.
- Profile Data: You may choose to upload a profile avatar and provide additional personal information in your profile.
- Messages: We store messages you send and receive through the Service to deliver them to intended recipients.
- Media Files: Photos and videos you share through the Service are stored on our servers to facilitate delivery.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: We may collect device type and operating system version for compatibility purposes.
- Push Notification Tokens: We collect Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device tokens to deliver push notifications.
- Usage Data: Basic usage information such as login timestamps for security and service operation purposes.
1.3 Payment Information
- Subscription Payments: When you subscribe to BWChat Pro, your payment information is collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store or directly access your full credit card number. We may receive limited transaction information from Stripe (such as the last four digits of your card, expiration date, and billing status) for account management purposes.
1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not collect location data unless you voluntarily provide it in your profile.
- We do not access your contacts or phone book.
- We do not use cookies for advertising purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- To deliver messages and media to intended recipients
- To send push notifications about new messages and friend requests
- To manage your account and provide customer support
- To improve and optimize the Service

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Your profile information (username, nickname, avatar, bio) is visible to other BWChat users you interact with. Messages are delivered to their intended recipients.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

- JWT-based authentication with token expiration
- Server-side access controls
While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-Party Services
BWChat uses the following third-party services:
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs): Used for delivering push notifications. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe, Inc.: Used for processing payments for BWChat Pro subscriptions. When you subscribe, your payment information (credit card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe. BWChat does not store or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
No other third-party services, analytics SDKs, or advertising platforms are integrated into the App.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
